1About OPIIUS

OPIIUS (opiius.online) is an online platform where you can find self-drive cars, cars with driver and bikes offered by independent local rental agencies ("partners"). We are now live in Guwahati.

These terms apply to everyone who uses the site: customers who send a request, and partners who list vehicles. By sending a request or listing with us, you agree to them.

2How booking works

• A request, not a booking. When you tap "Check availability" or send a request, WhatsApp opens with your request filled in, with a reference like OP-261002-AB3CD. Nothing is booked until the partner confirms.
• We confirm with you first. OPIIUS replies to check your dates, pickup and price, then passes your request to the partner. We usually reply within 30 minutes during the day.
• The partner confirms. The partner confirms availability, the final price and any deposit, either through us or directly. Your booking is with the partner.
• No payment to OPIIUS. Customers do not pay OPIIUS anything. You pay the partner as agreed with them, usually at pickup.

3Renting a car or bike

• Bring your documents. A valid driving licence for the vehicle type and a government photo ID. The agency checks them at pickup and may refuse a rental if they are missing or invalid.
• The agency's rules apply. Minimum age, deposit, km limit, fuel rule, late return charges and where you may drive are set by the agency and shown on the listing. Read them before you request.
• Deposit. Any refundable deposit is taken and returned by the agency, under its own policy.
• Drive responsibly. You are responsible for following traffic laws, for fines and tolls during your rental, and for damage as set out in the agency's rental agreement. Do not sublet the vehicle or let an unlisted person drive it.
• Inspect at pickup. Check the vehicle and note any existing damage with the agency before you drive away.

4Prices, payment & cancellation

• Prices come from partners. Prices on OPIIUS are set by partners from their own rates. We show the km limit, fuel rule and deposit up front so there are no surprises. The confirmed price is the one the partner confirms for your dates.
• No booking fee. OPIIUS does not charge customers a booking fee or commission.
• Cancelling. Tell us on WhatsApp with your reference as early as you can. Since no advance is paid to OPIIUS, cancelling a request costs you nothing with us. If you have already paid the partner, their cancellation policy applies.
• Problems. If something is wrong with your rental, message us. We will help you take it up with the partner, and we act on partners who do not keep their word.

5For rental agencies

Listing

• Your consent. We only list businesses that agree to be listed, in the form or in writing. You can ask us to remove your listing at any time, and we will do it within 2 working days.
• Accurate details. Prices, terms, vehicle details and photos must be true and yours to share. You let OPIIUS show them on the site and in OPIIUS promotions while you are listed.
• Licences and insurance. You must hold the permits, registrations and commercial insurance the law requires for your vehicles.
• Verified badge. The badge appears only after OPIIUS has seen your documents, such as your self-drive permit, insurance and business registration. Ticking a box in the form is not enough on its own.

Requests

• OPIIUS confirms each request with the customer before sending it to you, with a reference number.
• Please confirm or decline within 30 minutes during working hours. Honour the price you listed for the dates requested.
• You remain responsible for your vehicle, your rental agreement, checking the customer's licence and ID at pickup, and your deposit.
• We keep a record of every request we send you (reference, dates, vehicle, price), so both sides can see what was sent.

6Partner plans & fees

• Basic listing is free. There is no commission on bookings on any plan; you keep 100% of what the customer pays you.
• Optional paid plans. Verified (₹999/month), Growth (₹3,000/month) and Featured Partner (₹5,000/month) add the Verified badge, a fuller fleet profile, priority placement and a monthly inquiry report. They are month to month and optional; the free plan stays available. Partners who joined earlier keep their current terms until they choose a paid plan.
• Verification is never sold. The Verified fee covers our checks. If your business does not pass, the fee is refunded in full. Featured placement is paid, always labelled, and only open to Verified agencies.
• No surprise charges. We will never charge you without your written agreement, and we will give at least 30 days' notice before any change to fees.

7Our role & limits

• We connect; partners provide. OPIIUS does not own vehicles. The rental agreement is between you and the partner.
• What we check. We meet partners and check documents before showing a Verified badge. We do not run background checks on customers; partners check the licence and ID at pickup.
• Limits. To the extent the law allows, OPIIUS is not liable for the acts of partners or customers, or for losses from a rental. Nothing in these terms takes away your rights under Indian consumer law, including the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
• Photos. Vehicle photos come from partners and show their own vehicles. Where a partner has not sent a photo, we show the model name instead of a stock image. Background scenery and the home page video are illustrative and do not show a specific partner.

8Privacy

• Request records. When you send a request, the site records the reference, vehicle, partner, dates, price, pickup area and budget you chose, device type and page. It does not record your name or phone number. We use this to forward requests and to show partners what we sent them.
• WhatsApp. Your name and number reach us when you message us on WhatsApp. We share them, and any licence photo you send, only with the partner handling your request, to arrange it. WhatsApp's own privacy policy also applies.
• On your device. Your wishlist and request history are kept in your browser's storage on your device. Clearing your browser data removes them.
• Visit counts. We may use privacy-friendly analytics (GoatCounter) to count page views. It uses no cookies and does not identify you.
• Your choice. Ask us on WhatsApp to delete messages or details we hold about you, and we will do it unless the law requires us to keep them. We never sell your data.
• Partners. Partner business details in the forms are used to create your listing. Your personal phone number is not shown on the site.

9Using the site fairly

• Do not send fake or spam requests, impersonate others, or copy the site's content or listings for another service.
• Reviews, when added, must be honest and based on a real rental.
• We may decline requests, or remove listings that break these terms, mislead customers, or get repeated genuine complaints.

10Changes, law & contact

• We may update these terms as OPIIUS grows. The date at the top shows the latest version. Partners will be told about important changes on WhatsApp.
• These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts in Guwahati, Assam have jurisdiction.
